Overview

The status bar shows the current processing status, the active calendar name, and the number of events belonging to the active calendar. The active calendar is the one designated with a green arrow in the Calendar List, and will be the default calendar when new events are created. To activate a different calendar, click its name in the list. The status bar will then update accordingly.

Active Calendar

In addition to the active calendar's name, additional information will be displayed depending on the properties of the active calendar:

  • If the calendar is subscribed or synced with Google Calendar, the date and time of the most recent sync will be shown.
  • The number of events belonging to the calendar will be listed. A recurring event series is counted as 1 event, with any variations of the series also being counted as 1 event.

Current Processing Status

The current processing status will usually be "Ready". The processing status will update to indicate when other background processing is being performed. After the processing completes, the status will return to "Ready". The status bar will update to show relevant information when the following operations are performed in the background:

Autosaving

When changes are made to your calendar, VueMinder Calendar will automatically save your data. During the autosave processing, which on most systems will take just a fraction of a second, the status bar will update to show "Autosaving". If you never see this status text, there's no need to be concerned, it just means that your computer is fast enough that the autosave completes before the screen can refresh!

Syncing With Google Calendar

When a calendar is being synced with Google Calendar, the status bar will update to show a sync is in progress, along with the name of the calendar being synced.
