Overview

The Status Bar shows the current processing status, the active calendar name, and the number of events belonging to the active calendar. 

If the active calendar is subscribed, the date/time the calendar subscription was last updated will also be shown.

Current Processing Status

The current processing status will usually be "Ready".  The processing status will update to indicate when other background processing is being performed.  After the processing completes, the status will return to "Ready".

Autosaving

When changes are made to your calendar, VueMinder Calendar will automatically save to prevent data loss.  During the autosave processing, which on most systems will take just a fraction of a second, the status bar will update as shown below.  If you never see this status text, there's no need to be concerned, it just means that your computer is fast enough that the autosave completes before the screen can refresh!

Subscribing

When a calendar subscription is being updated. the status text will update to show the calendar name being subscribed. The subscription operation is performed in the background, so VueMinder Calendar can continue to be used while the subscription is being updated.

Active Calendar Name

The status bar will show the currently active calendar name.  The active calendar is the calendar last selected in the Calendar List.  This is the default calendar when creating new events.

Number of Events

The status bar will also show the number of events assigned to the active calendar.  When a calendar contains recurring events, the entire recurring event series is counted as 1 event for the purpose of this value.  This prevents a recurring event that has no end date from causing the number of events to be extremely large value.  Any recurring event variations are counted separately, however.

Date and Time Last Subscribed

For calendars that are subscribed, the date and time of the last subscription update is shown in the status bar. This is especially useful for calendars that are configured for manual updating in the Subscribe to Calendar Window, as this help you keep track of the last time the subscription was updated.
