Exporting to an iCalendar (ics) file will allow your calendars to be shared with others, as long as they're either using VueMinder Calendar or another program capable of importing iCalendar files.

Selecting a Calendar To Export

To export a calendar to a file, specify the calendar to export and a destination file name. The calendar is selected from the drop-down list. The filename can be typed or browsed using the "..." button. It will default to the name of the most recently exported file, if any. The destination file need not exist, but must be somewhere that can be written.

Settings

You can choose to export event actions, reminder settings, completion states, and calendar appearance settings. This data is not included in the standard iCalendar file format definition. VueMinder Calendar extends the iCalendar format to support this data. VueMinder Calendar can import this data, but other calendar programs will ignore it. You can also choose to exclude events older than a specified number of days from being exported. This could greatly reduce the size of the exported file, if your calendar contains many events going back several years or more.

Exporting

After you've selected a calendar to export and a destination file, click the Export button. The calendar will be exported to the file. If the file already exists, it will be overwritten. The export results will be displayed, where you can see the number of events that were exported.
