Overview

This window allows you to backup or restore your calendars and events.

  • You can specify a time of day to perform an automatic backup.
  • If data was backed up previously, the date and time of the most recent backup will be displayed.

You can backup or restore your data.

Location

This is the location you'd like to use for the backup or restore operation. If a backup was previously performed, the location will default to the most recent backup's path. You can type in a path or click the "..." button to browse. If the path doesn't exist, you will be prompted to create it. If a location is specified that does not contain previous backup data, the Restore button will be disabled.

Perform Automatic Daily Backups

You can choose to have VueMinder Calendar automatically backup its data at a certain time of day. This is also a Program Option. To enable automatic daily backups, check the box and select the desired backup time. If VueMinder Calendar is not running when this time is reached, an automatic backup will occur the next time VueMinder Calendar starts. Automatic data backups take just a fraction of a second and will not degrade your computer's performance.

Backup, Restore, and Close Buttons

To perform a manual backup, click the Backup button. To restore from a previous backup, click Restore. You will be prompted to confirm, since any existing data will be completely overwritten by the backup data. When finished backing up or restoring data, you can click the Close button to close the window.
