Contacts List

The contacts list.

All defined contacts will be shown in the list on the left side of the window. Use the checkboxes to select the contacts to be included in the recipients list for an email or text message reminder. To view or modify a contact's information, click on the contact's name. The contact's information will be shown on the right side of the window.

You can right click the list to view the menu shown above. The following menu options are provided:

  • New Contact - This will add a new contact to the list.
  • Delete Contact - This will delete the selected contact (but not in real life...at least we hope not!).
  • Select All - This will select all contacts for inclusion in the reminder's recipient list.
  • Select None - This will clear all contacts that were selected for inclusion in the reminder's recipient list.

You can also click the button below the contact list to access these commands.

The button below the contact list can be used to add or remove contacts.

Contact Information

The contact information.

The contact info for the contact currently highlighted in the contact list will be shown on the right side of the window. The following information can be entered or modified:

  • Name - The contact's name. This can be a full name, first name, nickname, or whatever else you want to use. It must be unique and not used by any other contacts.
  • Email Address - The contact's email address. This is required for email reminders only.
  • Mobile Carrier - The contact's mobile carrier. This is required for text message reminders only. If you don't see the mobile carrier listed, you can click the "Get Latest" button to get the latest list of mobile carriers. If you still don't see the carrier, you can use the Manually Configure option. This will require that you know the contact's SMS send-to address.
  • Mobile Phone # - The contact's mobile phone number. This is required for text message reminders only. It is used to determine the contact's mobile send-to address.
  • Mobile Username - Some mobile carriers require a username (or PIN) instead of phone number when sending text messages. When such a mobile carrier is selected, the Mobile Username field will be displayed.
  • Mobile Send To - This is the SMS text message address that will be used when sending a text message reminder to the contact. When a mobile carrier and phone number (or username/PIN, depending on the carrier) are entered, the mobile send-to address will be automatically determined.
