Version 6.0.1 (Decement 12, 2009)
Added a "Now" button when displaying the Day and Week views. This button will make the current date and time visible in the Day and Week views.
Improved the Day and Week views to automatically scroll to the current time when the current date is selected.
Improved the Day and Week views to remember the first visible time slot, so the time slot will still be visible after restarting the program.
Improved the Day and Week views to allow time slot lengths to be independently set. Previously, both views shared the same time slot length setting.

Version 6.0.0 (December 8, 2009)
Added the ability to sync calendars with Google Calendar. Both 1-way (either direction) and 2-way synchronization are supported. Synchronization occurs automatically, whenever changes are detected, or can be adjusted to occur at a set frequency.
Added the ability to pin desktop alerts to any location on the screen, similar to sticky notes.
Added the ability to create meeting requests using a "New Meeting Request" menu option. Note: this feature requires a default mail client to be installed.
Added an option to set the highlight color of the current date. This color will be used in both the main window and desktop calendar.
Added an option to disable the bubble tooltips that appear when hovering the cursor over events or tasks in the Calendar View.
Added an option to disable the message prompting to confirm event or task deletion.
Improved the appearance of desktop alerts. Desktop alerts will now be colored to match the associated event or task color.

Corrected menu options after upgrading to the Pro version from the Lite version. The additional Pro version commands were sometimes not appearing.

Added the ability to choose a highlight color for selected dates. This setting can be found in the Appearance Options window.
Added the ability to re-order calendar groups via drag-and-drop.
Improved the creation of new events, so when an event is added to a hidden calendar, or assigned to a filtered priority, location or category, the filter is automatically removed to make the newly created event visible.
Improved the Calendar Properties window to allow group assignment to be viewed or modified.
Improved the Calendar List, so the expanded/collapsed state of calendar groups is saved and restored when the program is restarted.

Version 5.5.0 (November 12, 2009)
Added the ability to group calendars in the Calendar List. Grouped calendars can be displayed or hidden in a single operation by checking or unchecking the group’s checkbox. Calendars can be dragged and dropped between groups, or repositioned within the same group.
Added the ability to prioritize events and tasks. Available priority types default to “High”, “Medium”, “Low”, and “None”. These can be modified using a new “Priority Types” command from the “Tools” menu.
Added tabs to the Calendar Items (formerly Calendar List) area of the main window. These tabs can be used to dynamically switch how events are presented and filtered in the Calendar View and Event List. You can view and filter events and tasks by calendar, category, priority, and location. The visual appearance of these types can be customized using the Appearance Toolbar or Tools menu options. You can also combine filtering using these various types, or reset the filter using an X button at the bottom of the Calendar Items area. The display will correspond with whichever tab in the Calendar Items area is currently active.
Added "Display Type" menu options under the View menu for switching the display between showing event and task colors based on calendar, category, priority, and location. These new menu options also have shortcut keys of Alt+1 through Alt+5.
Added the ability to define a list of event locations. These can be edited by clicking the “…” button in the location field of the Event Editor, or by using the Tools menu. As with categories and priorities, different appearances can be assigned for event locations, and these can be viewed or filtered by activating the Locations tab of the Calendar Items area.
Added the ability to see search results within the Event List. Searches can be performed for any date range and will take a fraction of a second to display the results in the Event List. You can switch between previous searches using tabs, and dynamically adjust the date range used for the current search criteria.
Added the ability to print search results. To do this, select the “List” print style with “Search Results” content type.
Added the ability to specify an optional report title when printing. The title will appear at the top of every page. If no title is desired, the title text can be set blank.
Added the ability to associate events, or entire calendars, to a selected category or priority. This can be done by right-clicking the event or calendar.
Added tooltips to the Calendar List and other items in the Calendar Items window area. These tooltips will show calendar details and filtering status.
Added the ability to display a counter for yearly events (such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc). This counter will automatically show the appropriate value for each year, and can be configured to start at any value. The counter settings are located under the Yearly recurrence settings in the Event Editor.
Added the ability to define contacts using a new "Contacts" menu option, accessed from the Tools menu.
Added an “Extend Trial” button to the registration window after the 30 day trial period has expired. This button can be used to request and extension to the trial period, in case 30 days are not enough to reach a purchasing decision.
Added a "Delete All" button option on the popup reminder window. This button can be used to delete all the events and/or tasks associated with the displayed reminders.
Improved the appearance of events in the Calendar View and Event List. Border colors will now automatically coordinate with selected background colors. A large number of default appearances are have been added for new calendars, and these appearances have been made more aesthetically pleasing.
Improved the display of events having formatted text descriptions. These descriptions will no longer show raw HTML tags in the Event List’s Description column, in the Day or Week views, or when printing.
Improved exporting to Excel so raw HTML tags are no longer included in the exported event descriptions.
Improved the Day and Week views of the default appearance theme to show event descriptions. Previously, only the event title and location would appear.
Improved all aspects of program performance using memory caching and various other optimizations. It should be significantly faster now, even when there are a large number of events displayed.
Improved event deletion so when multiple events are selected, including recurring events, only one prompt is displayed to confirm deletion of the entire selection.
Improved event creation when a subscribed (i.e., read-only) calendar is active. Rather than displaying a warning message, the program will default the new event to belong to a different non-subscribed calendar.
Improved importing from ICS files so when importing into a destination calendar, if all existing events in the destination calendar are selected for deletion or overwriting, a message is displayed asking for confirmation. This will help avoid potential data loss when importing into an existing calendar.
Improved the calendar defaults so the default category is used for new events when importing or subscribing into the calendar. The default category will be used for events that have no specified category in the calendar source.
Improved error handling of invalid date formats when importing from ICS. For example, time values that are only 5 digits in length instead of the expected 6 will be properly handled, instead of the import failing.
Improved the status bar to show the time the active calendar was last synced with Outlook, if applicable.
Improved the visual look-and-feel of all menu and toolbar icons.
Corrected a large number of problems related to calendar sharing over a local network, especially when the calendar subscription update setting of “Automatically” is selected.
Corrected a problem with the Import window appearing numerous times after double-clicking an ICS file from outside of VueMinder Calendar. The window will now appear only once, as was intended.
Corrected a problem with snoozing desktop alerts for tasks. The desktop alerts would always reappear after 1 minute, regardless of the snooze length selected.
Corrected an error message when attempting to preview a task reminder.
Corrected a problem with print output always going to the default printer, regardless of which destination printer is selected.
Corrected a problem when creating a new task, where a new event of the same name was also sometimes being created.
Corrected the appearance of all-day events when selected in the Day and Week views. Previously, the background colors of all-day events would be changed when selected.
Corrected a problem when selecting a recurring event in the Calendar View, where the appropriate row in the Event List (if displayed) was not being activated.
Corrected problems with snoozed and dismissed reminders for recurring events sometimes not correctly appearing in the Recent Reminders window.
Corrected a problem with dismissed events no longer appearing as faded in the Calendar View after displaying the Recent Reminders window.
Corrected a performance problem with the Recent Reminder window. This problem also caused calendar subscription updates to take far longer than expected. Subscription updates should now only require a couple seconds.
Corrected a number of refresh problems in the Event List, such as when an event is reassigned to a different calendar or its reminder is dismissed.
Corrected the reminder status displayed in the Event List, tooltips, and Details pane. In some cases, the status was saying the reminder would be displayed, when it wouldn’t be due to it not being shared with the current user, occurring too far in the past, or other various reasons.
Corrected a problem with the dismissed reminder status in the Event List being cleared every time the associated event is changed.
Corrected a problem with plain text email reminders, if the associated event description contains non-English characters. Instead of displaying the correct character, a “?” would appear in the email reminder in place of the character.
Corrected a problem with a conflict warning being displayed in the Event Editor for recurring events, even when there are no other conflicting events.
Corrected an “out of memory” error that would appear when the mouse is moved over an event having a description with a line exceeding 200 characters, without spaces.
Corrected a problem when setting work day options using non-English languages. The work day options were not being properly saved.
Corrected a problem when selecting the short US date/time format when using a non-English language. A longer format was always being used.
Corrected the “Check for Updates” window so it doesn’t display above all other windows.

Version 5.4.0 (October 14, 2009)
Added real-time calendar sharing over a local network. To share calendars in real-time, set the update frequency to "Automatically" when subscribing or sharing a calendars over a local network.
Added notification of conflicting events. There are two types of notifications - a simple label in the Event Editor window and a popup warning message. These can both be enabled or disabled, independently for each calendar via new "Event Conflict Handling" settings in the Calendar Properties window.
Added a "Calendar View" print style. This will print the calendar exactly as displayed in the Day/Week/Month View, including whatever number of days or weeks are selected for display.
Added a "Reset Filter" option to the Event List's "Filter" button's menu. This option will remove filters on all columns.
Added a "Random" button to the apperance properties for calendars and events. This button can be used to quickly generate a unique appearance.
Improved the Event List to allow multiple events to be selected at one time. This can be done by Shift-clicking rows, Ctrl-clicking rows, or dragging row selection with the mouse. You can also select all listed items using a right-click menu option or Ctrl+A. Selected rows will have a green arrow.
Improved the Event List and Calendar View so multiple selected events can be deleted, toggled as completed, or re-assigned to a different calendar in a single operation.
Improved the Event List performance, especially when a large number of events are displayed. Performance should be much more responsive now.
Improved handling of incorrectly entered email addresses to return a more user-friendly error message.
Corrected the Day/Week/Month view so right-clicking a selected event, when multiple other events are selected, will not clear the other selections.
Corrected the Event List to properly refresh the reminder status for tasks, when task reminders are dismissed, snoozed, or sent via email/SMS.

Added an option to control whether VueMinder Calendar runs at Windows startup.

Added a new appearance theme that shows full event descriptions within the event blocks in the Day and Week views. The new theme is named 'LargeDatesWithDescriptions.isl'.
Improved application load times and runtime performance. The application should load approximately 50-60% faster than previously. Delays when opening the Event Editor or Calendar Property windows should also be reduced.
Improved the tooltips displayed in the Event List. The tooltips now match the tooltips shown in the Calendar View, and display correctly on multi-monitor setups.
Improved the Details pane to allow the Event Editor to be opened for the displayed event by clicking its name. A similar improvement has also been made for tasks.

Added a new "Details" pane to the main window. This pane shows details of the currently selected event or task. Events with descriptions containing links to files or websites can have those links clicked from the Details pane.
Added a full-featured text editor to the Description tab of the Event Editor. Text formatting, pictures, links to web pages or local files, and much more can be entered to event descriptions using this new text editor.
Added a task list to the desktop calendar.
