  • Corrected border colors in the Event List when displaying completed events.

Version 5.5.0 (November 12, 2009)

  • Added the ability to group calendars in the Calendar List. Grouped calendars can be displayed or hidden in a single operation by checking or unchecking the group’s checkbox. Calendars can be dragged and dropped between groups, or repositioned within the same group.
  • Added the ability to prioritize events and tasks. Available priority types default to “High”, “Medium”, “Low”, and “None”. These can be modified using a new “Priority Types” command from the “Tools” menu.
  • Added tabs to the Calendar Items (formerly Calendar List) area of the main window. These tabs can be used to dynamically switch how events are presented and filtered in the Calendar View and Event List. You can view and filter events and tasks by calendar, category, priority, and location. The visual appearance of these types can be customized using the Appearance Toolbar or Tools menu options. You can also combine filtering using these various types, or reset the filter using an X button at the bottom of the Calendar Items area. The display will correspond with whichever tab in the Calendar Items area is currently active.
  • Added "Display Type" menu options under the View menu for switching the display between showing event and task colors based on calendar, category, priority, and location. These new menu options also have shortcut keys of Alt+1 through Alt+5.
  • Added the ability to define a list of event locations. These can be edited by clicking the “…” button in the location field of the Event Editor, or by using the Tools menu. As with categories and priorities, different appearances can be assigned for event locations, and these can be viewed or filtered by activating the Locations tab of the Calendar Items area.
  • Added the ability to see search results within the Event List. Searches can be performed for any date range and will take a fraction of a second to display the results in the Event List. You can switch between previous searches using tabs, and dynamically adjust the date range used for the current search criteria.
  • Added the ability to print search results. To do this, select the “List” print style with “Search Results” content type.
  • Added the ability to specify an optional report title when printing. The title will appear at the top of every page. If no title is desired, the title text can be set blank.
  • Added the ability to associate events, or entire calendars, to a selected category or priority. This can be done by right-clicking the event or calendar.
  • Added tooltips to the Calendar List and other items in the Calendar Items window area. These tooltips will show calendar details and filtering status.
  • Added the ability to display a counter for yearly events (such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc). This counter will automatically show the appropriate value for each year, and can be configured to start at any value. The counter settings are located under the Yearly recurrence settings in the Event Editor.
  • Added the ability to define contacts using a new "Contacts" menu option, accessed from the Tools menu.
  • Added an “Extend Trial” button to the registration window after the 30 day trial period has expired. This button can be used to request and extension to the trial period, in case 30 days are not enough to reach a purchasing decision.
  • Added a "Delete All" button option on the popup reminder window. This button can be used to delete all the events and/or tasks associated with the displayed reminders.
  • Improved the appearance of events in the Calendar View and Event List. Border colors will now automatically coordinate with selected background colors. A large number of default appearances are have been added for new calendars, and these appearances have been made more aesthetically pleasing.

  • Improved the Day and Week views of the default appearance theme to show event descriptions. Previously, only the event title and location would appear.

  • Improved event deletion so when multiple events are selected, including recurring events, only one prompt is displayed to confirm deletion of the entire selection.
  • Improved event creation when a subscribed (i.e., read-only) calendar is active. Rather than displaying a warning message, the program will default the new event to belong to a different non-subscribed calendar.
  • Improved importing from ICS files so when importing into a destination calendar, if all existing events in the destination calendar are selected for deletion or overwriting, a message is displayed asking for confirmation. This will help avoid potential data loss when importing into an existing calendar.
  • Improved the calendar defaults so the default category is used for new events when importing or subscribing into the calendar. The default category will be used for events that have no specified category in the calendar source.
  • Improved error handling of invalid date formats when importing from ICS. For example, time values that are only 5 digits in length instead of the expected 6 will be properly handled, instead of the import failing.

  • Corrected a number of refresh problems in the Event List, such as when an event is reassigned to a different calendar or its reminder is dismissed.
  • Corrected the reminder status displayed in the Event List, tooltips, and Details pane. In some cases, the status was saying the reminder would be displayed, when it wouldn’t be due to it not being shared with the current user, occurring too far in the past, or other various reasons.
  • Corrected a problem with the dismissed reminder status in the Event List being cleared every time the associated event is changed.
  • Corrected a problem with plain text email reminders, if the associated event description contains non-English characters. Instead of displaying the correct character, a “?” would appear in the email reminder in place of the character.
  • Corrected a problem with a conflict warning being displayed in the Event Editor for recurring events, even when there are no other conflicting events.
  • Corrected an “out of memory” error that would appear when the mouse is moved over an event having a description with a line exceeding 200 characters, without spaces.
