Yes, VueMinder Calendar Pro supports unlimited users on the same computer, provided each user has their own legally purchased license. Users will have private calendar data, which (by default) won't be visible to other users on the computer unless the data is exported, published, or shared to a location that is visible to other users. The VueMinder Calendar options and settings are also unique for each user on a computer, allowing VueMinder Calendar to be custom tailored to each user's needs.
VueMinder Calendar can run independently for each user that is logged into a computer. However, when updating or uninstalling VueMinder Calendar, all users currently logged into the computer must completely exit VueMinder Calendar prior to initiating the installation. Due to Windows permissions issues, the VueMinder Calendar installer is unable to ensure that other logged in users are not running VueMinder Calendar. Although unlikely, errors may occur if VueMinder Calendar is updated or uninstalled while still being run.
By default, VueMinder Calendar stores calendar data, tasks, contacts, options, and settings at the following paths. Note these paths are hidden, so you won't see them unless you enable the display of hidden folders in Windows:
If you'd like to change the directory in which data is saved, you can do this from the Program Options window.
We realize this is a very important concern, which is why VueMinder Calendar has many safeguards in place to avoid data loss. While VueMinder Calendar is running, whenever an event or task is created or changed, VueMinder Calendar automatically saves a backup copy of the current data. A backup copy is also saved when VueMinder Calendar exits or when Windows is shut down. A prior version of these backups is also saved. All this saving is performed very quickly and efficiently, taking just a split second to complete, so you won't notice any effect on runtime performance.
When VueMinder Calendar starts, it automatically loads the most recently saved data. While loading the data, VueMinder Calendar checks whether the data is corrupted. If any errors are detected, VueMinder Calendar will attempt to recover your data. If you ever see a calendar named "Recovered Events", this was used to restore events that were recovered from partially corrupted data. If the data is corrupted beyond all repair, the most recently saved backup copy is loaded, with the same checks for data integrity. If that data is also corrupted, a backup of the backup is used, again using the same data integrity checks.
If all the automatic backups are corrupt, VueMinder Calendar will notify you that your data could not be loaded. This could happen if you're experiencing a hard drive failure, or some other type of memory or file system corruption. However, all is not lost because VueMinder Calendar also provides a mechanism for manually and automatically backing up your data to a location of your choice (this could be a network location, attached storage device, USB stick, etc). To access this feature, select the "Backup or Restore Data" command from the File menu. If you performed a previous backup using this feature, you can use that backup to recover your data.

Yes, your previous data will still be there. Updating to a new version will not have any effect on your data. The latest version of VueMinder Calendar preserves backward compatibility with data saved using all previous versions, going back to the very first version of VueMinder Calendar. However, just to be safe, we recommend performing a manual backup of your data prior to updating. You can do this using the "Backup or Restore Data" command from the File menu.
VueMinder Calendar can automatically check for updates when started or at a set frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly). If a newer version is available, a window will be shown listing the most recent updates and allowing you to download and install the latest version on top of the current version.
If you have disabled automatic update checking, you can manually check for updates using the "Check for Updates" command from the Help menu. You can also check the VueMinder Calendar version history and compare this with the version displayed in the "About VueMinder Calendar" or "Register VueMinder Calendar" window, available from the Help menu.
If you downloaded a new version outside of the "Check For Updates" feature built into VueMinder Calendar, follow these steps to update VueMinder Calendar to the new version:
After installation completes, you can choose to run the new version of VueMinder Calendar. If you choose not to, you can start VueMinder Calendar manually from the VueMinder folder in the Start Menu. VueMinder Calendar will also run the next time Windows starts, as long as you leave the VueMinder shortcut in the Startup folder of the Start menu.
Note: When you purchase VueMinder Calendar, you receive 12 months of free Update Protection. You can optionally renew your Update Protection at the end of the 12 months for 50% the price of a license. However, this is not required to continue using the software - you just won't be able to upgrade to new versions.
You can order from within VueMinder Calendar by selecting the "Register VueMinder Calendar" option from the Help menu. You can also buy a license here.
We accept the following payment methods:
VueMinder Calendar is free to try and fully functional for up to 60 days. After 60 days, it will no longer run, but any events or reminders that you defined during the trial period will be waiting for you to view after you've purchased a license.
Uninstalling and then reinstalling VueMinder Calendar will not reset your trial starting date. If you require more than 60 days to decide whether VueMinder Calendar is right for you, please and we'll be happy to extend your trial period by whatever length you deem necessary (within reason, of course!).
We'd strongly advise not attempting to download an "uncracked", "keygen", or "warez" version of VueMinder Calendar. Besides encouraging software piracy (and seriously decreasing VueSoft's ability to release new features), doing this also places your computer at a very high risk of being infected with a virus, trojan, malware, or some other type of malicious software. Why risk it?
If you really must have free software, we do offer a Lite version at no charge. It doesn't have quite as many features as the Pro version, and support will be more limited, but hey, it's free!
A single-user license can be used by a single user on up to 5 computers. Additional users require their own license. However, if using the software at home, all family members living in the same house count as the same user, so only 1 user license is required.
Here are some example licensing scenarios to help you determine how many licenses are required:
Yes, we do! The more licenses you buy, the more you save:
| Licenses | Price Per License | Discount |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4 | $39.95 | |
| 5 to 9 | $34.95 | 13% |
| 10 to 19 | $29.95 | 25% |
| 20 to 49 | $24.95 | 38% |
| 50 to 99 | $19.95 | 50% |
| 100+ | $14.95 | 63% |
We offer site licenses in the form of tier levels. The site license you purchase will depend on your corporation's expected maximum number of VueMinder Calendar users. If, after purchasing, you exceed the maximum number of user installations, you can upgrade to the next tier for the cost of the difference. After purchasing a site license, VueSoft will provide VueMinder Calendar Enterprise and a license file, which all installations within a single geographical site or region can point to when placed on a common server. This eliminates the need to track licenses for individual users.
| Tier Level | Maximum Users | Cost (US$) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 25 | $599 |
| 2 | 50 | $999 |
| 3 | 250 | $1999 |
| 4+ | 500+ |
