change type of item - convert event to task and vice versa

Postby leopoldus » Thu Apr 06, 2017 3:54 pm

Hello!

Many PIM applications starting from MS Outlook let a user change the type of an item, that is convert an event to task and vice versa. But I could not find a way to do it in VueMinder. Is it possible?
Thanks!

Hi leopoldus, it's possible to convert events to tasks, and vice versa. This is done by right clicking the event and selecting a task calendar from the "Assign to Calendar" submenu.

reviving this question - and wondering whether there's a bulk conversion option.

At the moment I'm looking at one calendar in the Events pane, and wanting to copy 31 events into tasks.

I gather I could export events and import as tasks, but would prefer to have a right-click option to copy all events into a Task list.

Hi dglp, you can bulk convert events into tasks by using the "Tools -> Merge Calendars" menu command. Please see the documentation linked below for more details:

Good, will try that.
Have come up with another question or two about importing tasks. Will start a new thread.
