Archiving questions

I don't notice a speed problem with VM Pro (I only have 513 Google calendar events). However I have some general questions about archiving.

1. I only display my Google calendar but also have 2 Holidays calendars which I don't usually display. If I don't display calendars but have them installed does that impact performance?

2. At what point have people noticed a slow down in performance? 1000 events, 2000? etc?

3. When archiving a calendar that syncs with Google will it also remover the events on the Google calendar or does it just happen within VM?

There shouldn't be any noticeable performance difference with having holiday calendars.

2. At what point have people noticed a slow down in performance? 1000 events, 2000? etc?

I've tested with as many as 100,000 events. Performance begins to slow down around 10,000-20,000 events, but is still manageable. The biggest thing that can cause slower performance is defining many recurring events, especially recurring events that happen every day.

3. When archiving a calendar that syncs with Google will it also remover the events on the Google calendar or does it just happen within VM?

Yes, the events will also be removed from Google Calendar. The events will be archived into an ICS file which can be imported if needed.
